Counseling & Psychology

We have a few hands-on internship opportunities at excellent non-profit organisations working to prevent gender-based violence (GBV) through advocacy, or treating and counseling the survivors of gender-based violence. Due to the sensitive nature of this work, these internships will suit more emotionally-mature candidates who have some knowledge and experience of gender and GBV issues.

Why You Should Consider a Counseling & Psychology Internship:

Gender-based violence is a significant problem in South Africa, and affects a multitude of other sectors such as health, education, and community empowerment. Ultimately, gender inequalities impede the realisation of full human potential and drive the HIV/AIDS epidemic.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with an interest in female empowerment and equality, law and human rights issues.
